The McDonald’s Newcastle Falcons are pleased to announcing the re-signing of Jaidyn Goodwin for the 2025 NBL1 season.

The point guard has played for the Falcons in the NBL1 program for the last three seasons and is in his seventh year in Newcastle colours.

Goodwin played an integral role for the Falcons last season and was named the team’s Defensive Player of the Year. He also led the team in assists averaging 3.7, to go with 5.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game, while playing 31 minutes per game.

“I’m very happy Jaidyn has settled here and agreed to play this coming season. The core of the last few years still remains, and Jaidyn is our floor general, and cares so much about the performance of everyone on the court,” Head Coach Josh Morgan said.

“Jaidyn has now finished uni in Sydney, and his work schedule will allow him to practice full-time, which can only mean good things. Given his contributions last season with limited weekly preparation, this will hopefully result in greater cohesion, leadership, and overall individual contributions.”

The Falcons men and women will play their 2025 season home opener on Saturday 29 March against the Sydney Comets. See the full 2025 NBL1 East Draw HERE.
