The Newcastle Falcons are excited to re-sign Matur Maluach for the 2025 NBL1 season.
Maluach played in the NBL1 East for the Falcons in both the 2022 and 2023 season’s averaging 11.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 46 games.
Prior to joining the Falcons, the 25-year-old spent a couple of years overseas playing in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association.
“We are thankful Matur has agreed to come back and play this season. He is in the bracket of players where he has many playing years ahead of him but also has a lot of experience to offer,” Head Coach Josh Morgan said.
“Matur covers multiple positions for us which creates a little bit of flexibility for our subbing. We’ll hopefully take advantage of his communication and willingness on defence, his ability to score in late-clock situations and his general passion for the game.”
“He brings a lot of talk and organisation to practice, which will help everyone come game time.”
“Matur is a popular person around the Club, with juniors and all our supporters which is obviously a big thing for us. He’s the driver of accountability, which is important, and we are happy he’s back on board in 2025.”
